Jim is our Lead Pastor. He and Cindy, along with 35 friends, planted our community in 2013. Jim’s vision is to nurture a people who share the good news of Jesus with their lives and words, and who continue to live and grow in Jesus' ways, truth and life. He loves recruiting, equipping and deploying people to experience their God-given dreams. Jim and Cindy grew up in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee. Jim has a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership Development from Fuller Seminary. Jim is passionate about baseball, bluegrass and road biking. He and Cindy love living in Lawrence and love sharing their days with the people of Rock Hill.

Daniel has been a part of Rock Hill since 2015 and has served in a multitude of roles during that time. He currently serves as the Team Leader for Men’s Ministry and the Connections/Hospitality Team. He is nothing if not earnest and loves welcoming and celebrating anyone and everyone. He is also passionate about discipleship and mentoring, striving to bring others along while walking with Jesus as a husband, father, pharmacist, hobby baker, & marathoner.

Jared has been married to Kristi for 30 years, and together are parents to two great Jayhawk graduates, Lauren & Scott.  He is leading the City Serve team at Rock Hill and is a Mechanical Engineering leader at Garmin.  He loves supporting and being involved with his family, and is excited to have recently welcomed his first grandchild to the family.  He loves to travel to national parks and other scenic destinations for mountain hiking and other outdoor adventures.  He also loves learning and working to advance his relationship, understanding, and discipleship with God.  He is deeply grateful for all the blessings and lessons God has provided.

Daniel has been a part of Rock Hill since 2019 and serves as the leader of the communications and announcements team. He loves to see the community continue to grow closer to Christ and to each other. For work he is a meteorologist for the National Weather Service, so if you ever need a detailed weather forecast, he’s your guy. Daniel can often be found outside doing landscape and wildlife photography, including the occasional storm chasing trip. Otherwise, he enjoys his Pittsburgh Pirates baseball and University of Oklahoma football, as well as playing in the local Lawrence recreational soccer league.

Georgia-native Hope moved to Lawrence along with her family in 2022. After working as a nurse for 8 years, she is currently enjoying the blessng of being a stay at home mom to two little girls. Her favorite things include coffee, reading, and really good socks. What drew her to Rock Hill was how evident it was that this was a group of Christ-minded people actively seeking God's word. She is passionate about the importance of fellowship especially in the church and amongst women in the church. Hope feels it is an immense honor to serve and continually prays for God's guidance in this role.

Becky serves as financial manager of Rock Hill.  She and her husband, Brian, have been members of Rock Hill since 2021.  Becky works full-time as financial services manager for the Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists aka Church Forward in Topeka and has been with them for almost 34 years.  When Becky isn’t posting entries or creating a new spreadsheet, she enjoys playing piano, singing, putting together a photo book in Shutterfly, and watching HGTV or a good movie.

Kara leads the Children’s Ministry. She enjoys partnering with parents and volunteers in our community to create a safe and fun environment for our kids to be curious and open to know and love God more and to grow in friendship with each other. Kara also loves being outside to play and explore with her kids, getting to do creative things at home, and time together with friends and family.

Pam grew up in Perry Kansas and now lives in Lecompton with her husband, Nick and their two, college-aged children, Thomas and Dayne. Pam has been a dental hygienist for 30 years and loves using that dental chair as a ministry to spread the love of Jesus. Pam is also now a part of Living Life Ranch in Gardner Kansas where horses, the Holy Spirit, and healing, come together. Pam is very excited to see where God will take our Rockhill community through prayer and abiding.

Since joining Rock Hill in 2017 upon finding a job at a small engineering firm in Olathe, Jeremy has been dedicated to fostering community life and seeing The Kingdom come through the church. Residing in Lawrence, he is deeply committed to serving the international community alongside his wife, Priscilla. He enjoys longboarding (and snowboarding, given the chance), and any kind of sport. He also cherishes his occasional trips to Brazil to see his in-laws where he enjoys beaches and hiking in Rio de Janeiro.

Jordan Erwin is a member of the church’s Leadership Team. Jordan has been a part of Rock Hill since 2014, serving at various times as an intern, with children’s ministry, with youth, for the audio/visual team, and as a CLC leader. He lives in Lawrence with his wife, Kara, and his daughters, Hazel and Aliza. Jordan and Kara both graduated from Kansas State University. They love this community and everyone’s commitment as disciples of Jesus. They are thankful for how God has led the church and continues to work in it, shaping them to be the individuals and community that he desires them to be. Jordan taught high school math for ten years. He enjoys reading, writing, hiking, time with friends, and, more recently, pickleball.

Kristi is active member of BSF International, serving as a group leader, children’s leader, children’s supervisor, and now, group member. She has been in music ministry as a choir director for a good portion of her adult life. She is looking forward to see how the Holy Spirit is moving our church and giving us clear direction.

Emily has called Rock Hill home since moving to Lawrence in 2015. Since then, she has served in a variety of roles spanning different teams within the church. She is passionate about seeing the Church thrive and people entering into deep, abiding relationship with God. She is honored to serve on the Leadership Team. Please join her in praying that the Lord would grant the team wisdom, humility, and strength as they seek and respond to His will.

Brian and his wife, Becky, have been members since 2021 when they moved to Lawrence after 29 years in Topeka. Brian is the father of four grown children and grandpa to five. After serving as a pastor in Yankton, South Dakota and Topeka, KS, for 29 years, he has worked for a local dentist office since 2020 with his sights on retirement. Brian enjoys reading a good novel, photographing inanimate objects and scenery, Bible teaching, working out, cycling, watching videos of other people cycling and consuming a really good cookie. Brian and Becky love being in community with the people of Rock Hill.

Andrew has attended Rock Hill since moving to Lawrence in 2022. He co-leads a CLC and enjoys serving with the kids ministry and worship team. Andrew is excited to marry his fiancee, Sadie, in July 2026. Outside of church, he works at the Watkins Museum in downtown Lawrence and enjoys KC sports, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends and family.

Josh is a member of the church’s Leadership Team and has served in various roles within the church since 2014. He has a passion for seeing the church meet the needs of people both within the congregation and the greater community. He lives in Lawrence with his wife, Sarah, and daughter, Olive. When he’s not working his day job for the City of Lawrence as a Water Quality Lab Manager, he can be found doing his best not to get injured while playing basketball, riding his bike, and chasing his daughter and dog around the house.
