Jim Presnell

Jim is our Lead Pastor. He and Cindy, along with 35 friends, planted our community in 2013. Jim’s vision is to nurture a people who share the good news of Jesus with their lives and words, and who continue to live and grow in Jesus' ways, truth and life. He loves recruiting, equipping and deploying people to experience their God-given dreams. Jim and Cindy grew up in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee. Jim has a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership Development from Fuller Seminary. Jim is passionate about baseball, bluegrass and road biking. He and Cindy love living in Lawrence and love sharing their days with the people of Rock Hill.

Will & Makenzie Wipperman

Will & Makenzie Wipperman

Will and Makenzie Wipperman are both on staff here at Rock Hill. Will is the Associate Pastor and oversees College Ministry and Community Development. Makenzie is the Children's Ministry Director and gives vision and leadership to the men and women who invest in our children and families. They have two children, Evangeline and Lillian and one on the way. Both girls are full of spirit and silliness. The Wipperman's love hosting gatherings, exploring the outdoors and seeking the good things in life. If you haven't met them they would love to get to know you!

Daniel & Emily Pons

Daniel & Emily Pons

Daniel and Emily oversee the Events team at Rock Hill and are primarily involved in organizing the annual church retreat. They have been a part of Rock Hill since 2015 and also serve on the communication, sound, and worship teams. Their daughter, Meredith, joined Rock Hill in 2021 and is especially good at bringing people together at events! Their son, Ezra, joined Rock Hill in 2022, and is always ready to greet you with a soft smile. They love adventuring outdoors, musical theater, running, gardening, the farmer’s market, and enjoying great coffee with friends.

Josh Toevs

Josh Toevs

Josh is the benevolence team leader for Rock Hill. He has a passion to see the church meet the needs of people both within the church and in our greater community. He lives in Lawrence with his wife Sarah and has been attending Rock Hill since 2014, where he has been moderately successful at hiding behind the sound board most Sundays. When he's not working at his day job for the City of Lawrence as a Water Quality Lab Manager, he can be found attempting to roast coffee or playing with his dog Cedric.

Kristi Klein

Kristi Klein

Jared and Kristi are recent empty nesters to two great Jayhawks, Lauren & Scott. Kristi is the director of women’s ministry. Jared is a Mechanical Engineer Supervisor at Garmin. Kristi is the Preschool children’s supervisor for the Prairie Village Bible Study Fellowship. They share a passion of watching whatever their kids are doing. They love to travel wherever the road takes them. But have a special fondness for mountain hiking. They are enjoying learning how to be a better disciple in all areas of life. They are deeply grateful for all the blessings and lessons God has provided.

Jeremy Ensz

Jeremy Ensz

Since joining Rock Hill in 2017 upon finding a job at a small engineering firm in Olathe, Jeremy has been dedicated to fostering community life and seeing The Kingdom come through the church. Residing in Lawrence, he is deeply committed to serving the international community alongside his wife, Priscilla. He enjoys longboarding (and snowboarding, given the chance), and any kind of sport. He also cherishes his occasional trips to Brazil to see his in-laws where he enjoys beaches and hiking in Rio de Janeiro.

Jordan Erwin

Jordan Erwin

Jordan Erwin is a member of the church’s Leadership Team. Jordan has been a part of Rock Hill since 2014, serving at various times as an intern, with children’s ministry, with youth, for the audio/visual team, and as a CLC leader. He lives in Lawrence with his wife, Kara, and his daughters, Hazel and Aliza. Jordan and Kara both graduated from Kansas State University. They love this community and everyone’s commitment as disciples of Jesus. They are thankful for how God has led the church and continues to work in it, shaping them to be the individuals and community that he desires them to be. Jordan taught high school math for ten years. He enjoys reading, writing, hiking, time with friends, and, more recently, pickleball.

Kristi Klein

Kristi Klein

Kristi is active member of BSF International, serving as a group leader, children’s leader, children’s supervisor, and now, group member. She has been in music ministry as a choir director for a good portion of her adult life. She is looking forward to see how the Holy Spirit is moving our church and giving us clear direction.

Emily Pons

Emily Pons

Emily has called Rock Hill home since moving to Lawrence in 2015. Since then, she has served in a variety of roles spanning different teams within the church. She is passionate about seeing the Church thrive and people entering into deep, abiding relationship with God. She is honored to serve on the Leadership Team. Please join her in praying that the Lord would grant the team wisdom, humility, and strength as they seek and respond to His will.

Brian Holt

Brian Holt

Brian and his wife, Becky, have been members since 2021 when they moved to Lawrence after 29 years in Topeka. Brian is the father of four grown children and grandpa to five. After serving as a pastor in Yankton, South Dakota and Topeka, KS, for 29 years, he has worked for a local dentist office since 2020 with his sights on retirement. Brian enjoys reading a good novel, photographing inanimate objects and scenery, Bible teaching, working out, cycling, watching videos of other people cycling and consuming a really good cookie. Brian and Becky love being in community with the people of Rock Hill.

Holly Rains

Holly Rains

Holly and her husband Ryan have been part of Rock Hill since it started in 2013. She is a data analytics professor at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, and she enjoys reading, hiking, baking, and Pure Barre in her free time. She is praying that the church grows in joy and unity, and that we encourage one another to use our gifting as one body.
